Seikan Tunnel Tappi inclined passage line, called Mogura (mole) train

The shortest private railroad in the world, “Seikan Tunnel Tappi inclined passage line, called Mogura (mole) train” was constructed for moving laborers or transporting shortage through the Seikan Tunnel project. It is connected to the Honsyu side, Tappi-fixed-point (Tappi undersea station).
This train goes through the inclined passage 14 degree and leads you to “the world of 140 m below the surface of the sea” in only 9minutes.

Exhibition area in the Tunnel

We set up an Exhibition area in the Tunnel which was really used for the operation, and show you machines or devices used for digging. We reproduce and display the ambience of the field at the day.
